Basically Stepping Into Stars Hallow
This obviously isn't Stars Hallow, but it definitely has a Gilmore Girls feel, right?
I'm really going to miss all these Christmas decorations. I still have all mine up because it's just too depressing taking them down but I'm going to be so bummed taking photos now with no jolly decorations! Can we just take a vote and leave the garland and trees up? They don't even have to have all the ornaments and bows, that way it's just greenery, totally normal everyday greenery.
Anyway, on to the outfit. I'm basically walking Old Navy ad, but really what's new?
Like I've mentioned many times, I'm all about simple and comfortable so layers like this are my favorite because you don't really have to think to hard about how to pair them all together or style them multiple different ways. I would consider every piece of this outfit a staple in my closet. I'll be honest, when I bought the sweater years ago, I thought for sure it'd be just another online purchase I'd probable return because why do I need a cropped sweater?! But now I'm wishing I would've bought all the colors because it's just too cozy and easy to throw on with a plaid button-up, a chambray, or even a striped shirt.
The sweater and button up were both from a couple years ago, obviously they still have the button up because it's a classic. Unfortunately, not the sweater. Which totally sucks because it's my favorite sweater! It's cropped so it's perfect to layer with a short or long sleeved shirt or button-up. I did find something similar though so no worries!
I bought these jeans last year (luckily these are one of the few items they still have in stores) but I honestly thought I threw these jeans out. I don't know why I thought I didn't have them anymore but I was very surprised to find them in the bottom of my jeans drawer... not that the drawer is all that big in the first place but it was a nice surprise!
The coat is also something I've been wearing a lot recently, also from last year but of course still available since it too is a classic!
